Publications

The Ombudsman gives the Eduskunta an annual report, which outlines how the law is being exercised, the situation with respect to public administration and the discharge of public duties as well as any defects observed in legislation. The annual report is published in Finnish and Swedish. An English summary of it is also published.

The Ombudsman can also draft separate reports on matters deemed to be of importance.

Other publications include the brochure Can the Ombudsman help you?, which is intended to help complainants.
