What do complaints concern?

Social welfare services and income support

In 2010, the biggest category of complaints was once again the social welfare authorities, which in this statistic include those handling social welfare and social insurance. Within the category, complaints concerning social welfare increased again, whilst there was some decrease in the complaints concerning social insurance.

Police
Police became again the second biggest category of complaint subjects in 2010, with some increase from the year before. In 2009 health issues had taken this place, as the Ombudsman received 345 complaints about one single case.

Labour and environment

There were no significant changes in the next biggest categories of cases - health, prison service and courts. The number of complaints concerning the labour stayed high for the second year. There was also an increase in the category of environment.
